Drones and UAVs
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, otherwise known as “UAVs” or “Drones” are excellent aerial platforms for performing certain types of aerial imaging and other remote sensing data capture.
Because they are allowed to fly relatively close to the ground, drones are ideal for small-area assignments and closeup work.
Drone / UAV Applications
UAVs / Drones are an excellent vehicle for;
- Thermal capture.
- Day and night imagery.
- Close up inspection of assets such as bridges, power lines and poles, and other infrastructure.
Imagery and data captured by drones can be used in ortho-photography creation using Pix4D post-processing or with machine learning and AI to provide analytical data sets of meaningful value.
